Revisions are Good

So Here are My Updated Goals

Last month I wrote a blog about how I wanted to make this year all about bettering myself. I am proud to say that, for the most part, I have been following through with just that.

Now I need to make some revisions. The goals I set were ambitious, which is not a bad thing, but I have changed them to be a bit more.. well… realistic.

tweetscreenshotFor example, I have decided to only post once a week. Why?
I want to put a good amount of effort and thought into each post.
Creating content for the sake of having content is silly and counterproductive.
I owe it to you guys, as well as myself, to only post things I am proud of and excited to share.

Quality over Quantity is the way to go!

I said the same thing about friendships in my #NewYearNewMe post, and it definitely applies to both. My mental state has become much more stable since I’ve begun letting go of unnecessary stress and unsupportive relationships. I am prioritizing my life around the people and things that matter most. I highly suggest trying it!

How is the job hunt going?
Much better!
I am allowing time to really research companies. I want to make sure that I can actually see myself working in their community. Doing things this way has already gotten me quite a few job leads. Nothing has stuck yet, but this change of pace seems promising!

ALSO, I have a revised reading goal to share.
My girlfriends and I decided that we would start a book club of sorts which got me even more pumped to read. I’ve made it a habit to read about an hour/hour and a half almost every night.

books1nd2Turns out that I read at a much quicker pace than I used to. In less than 30 days, and maybe a total of 40ish hours, I’ve already read 3 books. It took me about an hour to read 50 pages of The 5th Wave and The Infinite Sea, both by Rick Yancey. In the same amount of time, I could only read about 30 pages of Wild, by Cheryl Strayed. Compared to the first two books, Wild had MUCH smaller type and leading, or line spacing.

Basically, this means I need to adjust my goal.
Instead of 1 book every 2 months, I am going to reverse it,
and attempt 2 books each month.

As for my goal to get healthy… Yeah, that could still use some work.
I am making healthier decisions,
but am beyond unmotivated to get on that damn treadmill. 😖
How can I gain some momentum here?
Let me know in the comments!
Seriously I need some tips.
